General Product Questions

What is an electric towel warmer?

+

An electric towel warmer is a heated rack designed to dry towels and keep them warm between uses. Unlike traditional radiators, it runs on electricity, heats up quickly, and can be installed in bathrooms without a central heating connection.

What makes Calithrex towel warmers different from competitors?

+

Calithrex towel warmers are built with 304 stainless steel, a material that resists rust and corrosion far better than the 201-grade steel or chrome-plated alternatives used by many budget brands. With 15+ years of manufacturing experience, we also offer deeper customization, stricter quality control, and direct factory pricing for B2B buyers.

Are Calithrex towel warmers safe for daily use?

+

Yes. All units are designed with overheat protection, pressure-tested before finishing, and manufactured under ISO 9001 standards. We also offer UL/ETL-equivalent compliance documentation for U.S. buyers upon request.

Do Calithrex towel warmers work in humid bathrooms?

+

Absolutely. Our 304 stainless steel construction is specifically chosen for high-humidity environments. When properly installed and maintained, our racks will not rust or discolor, even after years of daily use in hotels and spas.

Installation & Technical

Can I install a Calithrex towel warmer myself?

+

For plug-in models, installation is straightforward: mount the brackets on the wall and plug it into a standard outlet. For hardwired models, we recommend hiring a licensed electrician, especially in commercial projects. Every unit includes mounting hardware and a detailed installation manual.

What is the difference between surface-mounted and recessed installation?

+

Surface-mounted: The rack sits on the wall surface. This is the most common method and works for almost all bathroom types.

Recessed: The electrical connections are hidden inside the wall cavity for a cleaner, minimalist look. This requires more planning and is best suited for new-build or full-renovation projects.

What voltage do Calithrex towel warmers use?

+

Our standard U.S. models operate at 110V–120V. For other regions, we can configure 220V–240V units as part of our OEM/ODM service.

How much space do I need above the towel warmer?

+

We recommend leaving at least 4–6 inches (10–15 cm) of clearance above the rack to allow heat to circulate efficiently.

Energy & Performance

Do electric towel warmers use a lot of electricity?

+

No. Most Calithrex towel warmers consume between 60W and 150W depending on size, which is roughly equivalent to 1–3 traditional light bulbs. Our PTC models are even more energy-efficient, warming up faster and using less power over time.

How long does it take for the towel rack to heat up?

+

Standard models reach full temperature in 10–15 minutes. PTC-equipped models can cut that to 5–10 minutes.

Will the towel warmer heat my entire bathroom?

+

Towel warmers are primarily designed to dry and warm towels. While they do add a small amount of ambient heat to the room, they are not intended to replace a primary bathroom heater.

Can I leave the towel warmer on 24/7?

+

Yes, but it is not necessary for most users. We recommend using a programmable timer or smart thermostat to run the unit during the hours you actually need warm towels. This extends product life and reduces energy costs.

B2B, OEM & Wholesale

Do you offer custom or private-label towel warmers?

+

Yes. Calithrex specializes in OEM and ODM services. We can customize dimensions, finishes, wattage, packaging, and even control features such as Wi-Fi thermostats. MOQ starts at 50 units for white-label models and 500 units for fully custom designs.

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for wholesale?

+

White-label standard models: 50 units
Custom finish / packaging: 100 units
Exclusive mold / design: 500 units

Can I get a sample before placing a bulk order?

+

Yes. We encourage sampling. Prototypes are typically ready within 10–14 days, and we can air-ship samples directly to your U.S. address for evaluation.

Do you provide packaging and manuals for retail resale?

+

Yes. We offer neutral white-label packaging as well as fully branded retail cartons, barcode labels, and multi-language installation manuals (English, Spanish, and others upon request). Our packaging is also compatible with Amazon FBA requirements.

Which types of businesses buy from Calithrex?

+

Our B2B clients include:
• Hotels, resorts, and spa chains
• Bathroom fixture distributors
• Amazon and e-commerce private-label sellers
• Contractors and property developers
• Retail chains and home-improvement stores

Do you dropship?

+

No. Calithrex is a manufacturer and wholesale supplier. We focus on B2B bulk orders and OEM partnerships rather than consumer dropshipping.

Shipping & Delivery

Where do you ship from?

+

Our manufacturing facility is in China, and we ship factory-direct to buyers worldwide. For large U.S. orders, we can also arrange delivery through your preferred freight forwarder or offer DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms.

How long does shipping take to the United States?

+

Air freight (samples): 5–10 days
Sea freight (bulk orders): 25–35 days to West Coast or East Coast ports

What Incoterms do you support?

+

We commonly ship under FOB, CIF, or DDP depending on your preference and order size.

Will I need to pay customs duties?

+

If you choose FOB or CIF, you are responsible for import duties and customs clearance. If you choose DDP, we include duties and delivery to your door in the quoted price.

Warranty & After-Sales

What is the warranty on Calithrex towel warmers?

+

We offer a 2-year commercial warranty and a 3-year residential warranty against manufacturing defects. Replacement parts or full-unit exchanges are provided depending on the issue.

What should I do if my towel warmer stops heating?

+

First, check the power supply, timer settings, and wall switch. If the problem persists, contact our after-sales team with your order number and a brief description. We typically diagnose and ship replacement parts within 3–5 business days.

Do you offer spare parts?

+

Yes. We keep an inventory of common replacement parts such as heating elements, control switches, and mounting brackets. For hotel groups and property managers, we recommend keeping a small stock on-site for same-day maintenance.

How do I clean my stainless steel towel warmer?

+

Use a soft, damp cloth with mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners or steel wool, which can scratch the surface finish. For brushed nickel or matte black finishes, follow the same gentle cleaning routine to preserve the coating.
